You may be aware that tragically, a pupil at Taunton International School was recently involved in a fatal accident at the crossing on Greenway Road.

Due to the seriousness of this incident I have met with the head teacher of the school to discuss the best way forward. The School are very keen to see some form of traffic calming measures in the area to help prevent any future tragedies from happening. I have spoken to both the Transport Minister, Chris Grayling, as well as the leader of Somerset County Council, John Osman, and the relevant officials about funding and available options.
