'Action is needed to regulate online sale of exotic pets' – Rebecca Pow MP

Rebecca Pow, MP for Taunton Deane today backed calls for more to be done to regulate the sale of exotic pets in the UK. Attending the launch in Parliament of ‘One Click Away’, a report into the online sale of exotic pets. Rebecca, who is also the co-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Animal Welfare signed a pledge calling on the Government to ‘undertake a review of exotic pet breeding, trade and keeping across the UK’, ‘improve the enforcement of all relevant legislation concerning the sale of exotic pets’ and ‘review the Pet Animals Act 1951 to reflect the increasing sale of animals over the internet’.

Rebecca Pow Attends Rally for Sgt Blackman

Today Taunton Deane MP, Rebecca Pow joined a rally to show solidarity for jailed marine Sgt Alexander Blackman and his wife, Taunton Constituent, Claire Warner. Hundreds of supporters turned out on Parliament Square, many of whom were former marines, to show their support.

EDF and China General Nuclear Corporation Commit to Hinkley Point C
