Rebecca Pow MP, Minister for The Arts, Heritage, and Tourism and Member of Parliament for Taunton Deane was delighted to welcome Mims Davies MP, Minister for Sport and Civil Society to Taunton on July 19th.
Rebecca Pow, MP for Taunton Deane, joined forces with the Somerset Wild Life Trust at a successful Environment Surgery in Wellington. The event to hear views and discuss issues relating to the environment was a lively affair, attended by people of all ages from across Taunton Deane Rebecca said
I was so proud to have been appointed as the Environment Minster earlier this year with the responsibility of bringing forward the ground breaking Environment Bill which will transform our environment making it sustainable for future generations. My dream job!
Good news is always refreshing and there is genuinely great progress to report in relation to my campaign in conjunction with the National Trust and the community of Wellington to restore the iconic Wellington Monument.
I am delighted to be the Minister for the Environment within the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, but as ever, representing Taunton Deane remains a top priority. I am greatly looking forward to continuing this role though as ever.
I want to make it clear that I do not want to leave the EU without a deal. It is not my preferred option and I would rather leave with an agreement. The terms of the existing Withdrawal Agreement in its current form are, however, unacceptable to Parliament.
Rebecca Pow has been re-appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Arts, Heritage and Tourism, within the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
